Bill Raiser is an Owner Operated charter fishing boat operating from the beautiful port of Bermagui.  We specialise in big game fishing and target Marlin, Tuna and Sharks.  Our focus is on giving you a great day on the water and we will fish a variety of techniques to maximize your chances of hooking the big one!   Depending on the conditions and what’s been happening in the area we will troll lures, live bait, skip bait or try switch baits, when our teasers raise a marlin.

Bermagui is situated on the south coast of New South Wales. Known as the Sapphire Coast, this region is a great tourist destination and apart from the spectacular big game fishing at Bermagui , it’s within easy reach of towns like Merimbula, Bega, Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.

The Continental Shelf is at its closest point to Mainland Australia, being only 13 miles off the coast at Bermagui.  The Shelf, as well as the associated underwater systems like the 12 mile reef, attract pelagic fish almost all year round.  Autumn and early winter bring schools of yellowfin tuna to the area.  Spring sees the arrival of the southern bluefin tuna, albacore and, as the weather warms up we see the arrival of the mighty striped marlin.  Some of the largest Striped Marlin you will ever see follow the warm currents to this region.  Other billfish, such as the Black Marlin and the huge Blue Marlin also frequent the waters off Bermagui.
